The Prompt button is available in most Portal views to help you group and filter the data presented. Use multiple selection criteria fields to isolate and customize the information displayed to reflect the data that is most important to you.
NOTE To keep the Prompt section in view, click the push pin icon in the far right section of the screen. When the push pin control is not in place, the prompt section hides from view to give you a larger graphical display area. You may have to maximize the browser window to see and use the push pin control.
Complete any or all of the Prompt fields and click Refresh to filter the displayed results. On some views, a Parameters item is available on the toolbar to change filter selections, similar to the Prompts section.
The Prompt section offers a variety of fields to filter the displayed data.
NOTE The fields are dynamic depending on the program area. For instance, Property prompts include square footage fields where Performance prompts include financial fields.
Each field is generally a combination of two selections. First select how you want the data tested (<. >, =, and so forth). Next enter the actual value to be tested. For instance, you can filter the database to display only properties containing greater than 100,000 square feet.
Or you may first select the Property, and then select the Income and Budget periods you want to view.
The Prompt section generally also includes an overall sorting criteria, such as By Number, By Name, or By Region.
Prompts for some of the Financial tabs include the ability to select a Chart of Account Group. COA Groups are created in SKYLINE Setup, Groups Setup. Creating different groups gives you the option to have the graphs reflect a subset of amounts, instead of the entire Income or Expense totals.
Some Prompt sections include a Show Tool Bars checkbox. Selecting this checkbox adds a toolbar to the bottom of each graphical display. Grid displays show the toolbar at the top of the grid. Toolbars give you options to add, delete, switch the display to a grid format, and much more.
Any chart, grid, or graph can be saved to your My Portal tab. Make sure the Show Tool Bars checkbox is selected in the Prompts section and click the +Add button to add that display to your customized My Portal view. Use the toolbar Delete button to remove any display from the My Portal tab.
